UV

This project was instrumental to achieve the internationalization goal, as UV was able to achieve a working relationship with nine universities or educational institutions from Europe and America.  After this project, our faculties have been invited to perform as tutor or reviewers of graduate thesis at the participant institutions. The UV model also declares learning as a continuum over lifetime, and thus, the COPHELA courses offer our University the opportunity to fulfil this policy to both our graduates and pharmacists worldwide. Finally, our educational model is competences-oriented and so is the course: “Biological and Advanced Therapies” that UV faculties built.  Since in the area of the course  that we approached, there were no competences defined, we had to study publications in order to define and propose competences for the biotechnology area of pharmaceutical performance.  Then, we screened the competences that we could approach through our course and formulated Learning Results (LR) for the selected competence. Thus, we proposed modules and assigned the  LR to each one.  This was a growing experience for our working team, as we had no course organized at the beginning of the project.

UV has a strong interest in linkage with the environment and one of the policies in this regard is to promote the integration of the international dimension on every aspect of the University performance, such as under and graduate teaching, research, innovation and artistic creation  and performs actions to increase the visibility and valorization of the institution at the international level.  Without doubt, after the COPHELA project, UV is recognized in Spain, Portugal and Italy, as well as Brazil and México
